I’m not comfortable ordering on the
internet, how can I contact you to place an order?

There are three ways that you can contact
us to initiate an order, over the phone at 866-511-4947, by fax at 678-935-1275 and by email
(click the “contact” link at the top of any page on
the website). When initiating a formal order by email or
fax, please provide the information found on our fax form. We do not accept personal checks only
cashiers checks and money orders. You can also email or
fax any design concept or artwork files in advance (a description of your design idea is ok as
well), along with the quantity,
door hanger size and print options (i.e., sides printed and
full or 1 color) and we can email or call you with a quote.
Can you prepare a design proof or rough
draft and email, or fax it to me first?
How do I receive my Proof?
Answer 2.)
Some customers fill out the “online design request forms,” without selecting and paying for a quantity of
door hangers, expecting to see a proof sent to them via email.
We could not afford to maintain our competitive pricing
if our policy included this practice. We also know of
few, if any professional designers, or printers that will
provide rough draft designs prior to placing an order. Once your order is placed, the design layout is
prepared, and a proof image file
(usually a 96 dpi jpg or a pdf) is captured from that layout
and emailed or faxed to the customer for review, who can then
provide final approval or corrections by replying in an email
or fax reply, as needed. Once final approval is received
by email or fax, the door hangers are printed and shipped.
In order to help us maintain the great pricing for our
service, we ask customers to observe the courtesy of requesting
all major creative changes (should they be necessary) in
your reply to the 1st proof.
Your design library/catalog doesn’t
have the design I need or want, can you design a door hanger
from artwork or design concepts I provide?
Answer 3.)
Yes, If your ordering online just select the
“Custom Door hanger design
option”, at the top of the
page (View And Order Door Hanger Designs.) (for more
information on ways of ordering see also “How It Works”). If you are ordering over the
phone, just explain your design requirements/ concept to the
operator. Note that the pricing for custom door hanger design option is the same as for door hanger designs made
from our library designs. You can expect roughly the same
complexity and flow of design, found in our library of design
ideas. Files we accept from customers who have their own
photos, logos, design concept or print ready designs to submit,
are (jpg, gif, png, eps, tif, pdf, psd, ai, MS Word or
Publisher).
We can also generate a design directly
from concept and text requirements you convey to us (see also
“How It Works”).
A phone operator can also help you with
any questions or advice on submitting design materials or on
how to get started.
It is always helpful to prepare the basic
information that you want for your door hanger campaign prior
to placing a order. Its your message and while we can
help, you know your business/ organization and what is
essential/ critical to your message. (See also question
4.)
What is the “custom door hanger design option”? Also, how is this different from
ordering one of the door hanger library designs in the catalog/
library on this site?

The custom
door hanger design option is
the order option that you should select if your business, or
the subject matter of your door hanger is not represented in
our catalog of design ideas, or you would like a design that is
completely different from any of our design ideas. The pricing is the same. We can also start with your basic concept,
over the phone. You may also submit your own print ready
design. We can use your “print ready” artwork and
text files per your design requirements to assemble your door
hanger layout. Or, if you want us to provide individual
graphic design images and just supply text by phone, email, or
by fax, we can do prepare your layout that way, as well.
Then once your layout is prepared, you will be sent a
proof for your approval or corrections. (see also “How It Works”)
Customers should not
be confused between selecting the designs in the library as
opposed to selecting the custom design option. If you
select a design idea from our library/ catalog, we can add, or delete any of the images or text
in that is shown in the template per
your instructions. We can even develop a layout based on
a faxed design in many cases.
The principle difference between the
library designs and the custom design option, is that library design provide us with a basic
starting point. In either case you can you submit print ready
artwork or logos, photos etc.,. By “print
ready,” we mean logos, text and or images that have been
placed into a jpg file, png, gif, bmp, or tif file, pdf, psd,
ai, MS Publisher file, or Quark XPress design layout.
Regardless of how you order, we can meet your needs and
include the design elements that you submit. You may
submit any files that you want to try in your design layout.

I don’t see specifications or pricing
for door hangers printed on glossy cardstock. What is 90# index (smooth)
cardstock?
Answer 5.)
90# index cardstock (smooth,) is a high
quality smooth finish paper with the caliper of .0075, that
yields vibrant sharp print colors. We do not feel that
the low gloss cardstock that many competitors offer, makes
for a better advertising presentation than the 90# index
cardstock that we offer. Frequently, depending on the
lighting conditions, it is necessary to look at a low gloss door
hanger at an angle to tell whether it is actually glossy or
not. So what’s the point? Additionally, low
gloss typcially will not stand up to rainy conditions either.
If all weather distribution is a concern or requirement,
we can provide you the names of door hanger bag vendors
upon request.
What is (4/4), (4/1), (4/0) pricing?
I don’t see a pricing break-out for 2
sided 4/1 (full color on front and 1 color on back)
door hanger printing, why?
Answer 6.)
4 = full color spectrum printing using 4
colors of ink (i.e., c,y,m,k); 1= 1 color ink printing - (4/4)= full color 2 sided printing,
(4/1)= full color printing 1 side, 1
color ink printing on the other side , (4/0)= full color, one
sided printing. Note that color coverage fees may apply for
custom designs submitted or requested by customers with solid color
backgrounds exceeding ~15-20% of
the artwork area. Solid black objects/backgrounds should
not exceed ~ 5-10% color coverage due to printing process
considerations). We may request permission to modify
customer supplied designs/ images in order to meet our printing
process requirements, most often at no extra charge to the
customer.
We offer a single side (4/0) full color
price and a 2 sided (4/4) color price. If you want only a single color on the back
with color on the front (4/1), please indicate so in your
online form, by email, or tell your telephone operator.
We believe our prices reflect a great value and it is our
position to simplify pricing, in order to avoid confusion for
online customers.
Can you print door hangers with bleeds
(what does this printing term mean)?
Answer 7.)
No, we do not offer this service.
Printing “with bleeds” is generally taken to
mean that the print coverage goes beyond the edges of the
finished door hanger dimensions and then the excess is trimmed
to the finished dimension of the final door hanger, so that
there is ink coverage to the edges of the door hanger. We
also do not recommend that customers attempt cropping/ trimming
our finished door hangers.
How do I send my artwork or design layout
to you?

You can send your customer supplied
artwork files by email (~10MB limit for email attachments max
capacity). All image files should be a minimum of 300 dpi
resolution. You can compress or ZIP larger files if
needed. Image size at 300 dpi, must be the same or larger
than the size that it will appear in print to avoid pixelation.

What artwork file types are acceptable?

We prefer jpgs or pdfs at 300 dpi or
greater. All files should be 300 dpi or greater
resolution. We can accept gif,
tif, tga, bmp, eps, MS Word, MS Publisher 2000, Paintshop Pro,
pdf, psd, ai, or Quark XPress layouts as well. We ask that you convert or export
other software files to one of these formats. We cannot
be responsible for color shifts or font substitutions which may
result, due to the formats submitted. You will have an
opportunity to check for such changes in your door hanger
proof. We cannot be responsible for damage, or
misplacement of files sent to us. Always maintain master files for artwork you submit to us.
Can I send my design files to your FTP
site?

No, we no longer offer this service.
In the age of broadband any reasonably sized file can be
emailed (see also question 8.)
What is the finished size of the door
hangers?
What are the allowable artwork dimensions?
Answer 11.)
The artwork dimensions are nominally 3” x 6” for the H3 (finished size
“3.7 x 8.5”) and
nominally 3.6” x 8.25” for the
H2T (finished size 4.25” x 11”).
What is the turnaround time and how much is
shipping? Also, how do you ship?
Answer 12.)
Turnaround time varies with order volume
and requirements for design layouts, as well as any design
revisons needed and the responsiveness of our customers in
replying to each revision. Typical turnaround is from
4-10 working days from the date of approval of your door hanger
proof, pending the size of your order, and the volume of our
sales at any given time. We currently ship Fedex or UPS
ground delivery. Air expedited shipment and rush order
fees are not included in the list price for our door hangers.
Please provide a street
address for shipping. We do not deliver to P.O.
Boxes. Ground shipping costs are included in the price of
